The BandIt Body Workout System dispels all of the misconceptions about what makes for an effective workout. Historically, people have spent an hour or more in the gym because that's what they've been told they needed to do..."one hour of cardio, then hit the weights." Not only is this an ineffective way to work out, it's also boring. For example, after approximately 20 minutes on a cardio machine, the fat-burning effects start to diminish and muscle starts to break down. Muscle is important for fat loss so this is certainly the opposite of a good workout. To build muscle, then, most people think it's necessary to spend hours isolating muscle groups by lifting weights and focusing on certain muscle groups in a certain order. How do I choose the correct size BandIt Band?

The BandIt Body Workout System has been formulated uti lizing a multi-tiered workout resistance/intensity model. Our Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 bands will take care of everyone using the BandIt Body Workout System whether your goal is slimming down, getting ripped, or just staying in shape.
  • The BandIt Body DVD comes with a Level 1 and Level 2 band. This is a perfect combination for adding versatility within the workouts.
  • If you need more resistance during your workouts (muscle building, for example), then you can move on to a Level 3 band.

How long until I see results?

You will see results within the first two weeks. The entire program is a 6-week workout to see maximum results.

What is the Fit Test and why do I need to do it?

The Fit Test is a tool to track the results of your BandIt Body Workout. It consists of 8 exercises performed at 1 minute each while trying to do as many reps as you can of that exercise before moving to the next. There is a 1 minute rest between exercises to record your score and recover. The Fit Test is designed to be done on Day 1, before you start your BandIt Body Workouts, during your 6-week workout period, and then at the end of your 6-week workout period so that you can see measurable results. The Workout Calendar tells you exactly when to perform your Fit Test. Both the Fit Test and the Workout Calendar can be downloaded by clicking onto their pages below the BandIt Workouts page.

Will the BandIt Bands break?

All bands have their limits. The BandIt Bands are layered bands and therefore are the most durable on the market. It is recommended to only stretch each individual BandIt band to twice its length which is 82". Note: It is important to always inspect your bands for wear and stop using it if you suspect it is breaking down.

Does the workout take long?

The BandIt Body Workouts take only 20 minutes and that includes the warm up and cool down! The Fit Test takes 21 minutes including the warm up and cool down.

Do I need any equipment for the BandIt Body Workout System?

Just a BandIt band…that’s it! And the band comes with your BandIt Body Workout DVD package.

Can I use the BandIt Bands for anything else?

The BandIt Bands are great for getting a total body workout in minutes and have many other applications like improving flexibility, decreasing injuries, improving athletic performance, building strength/power and even enhancing rehab applications. They are also great for partner or group workouts like boot camps.

Are there other BandIt Band sizes?

There are 7 different resistance levels that range from 2 - 100+ lbs. for any one band. When used in combination you can add a great deal of resistance plus a lot of variability to your workout.

How do I clean my band?

Simply wipe dirt and debris away with a damp cloth.

Do I need a gym membership?

No. The only thing you need is the BandIt Band and the follow-along DVD.

What is the BandIt Band and what is it made of?

The BandIt Band is a 41" continuous (no ends) elastic resistance band. It is a layered band with a lay flat design for durability and comfort while working out. There are 7 different resistance levels ranging from 2 lbs. to over 100 lbs. for any one band. The bands have only trace amounts of latex (1-2%) but those with allergies should use precautions.

Resistance bands have been around for over thirty years. Most of the early bands, like flexbands, were primarily made out of a rubber similar to that used in tires. They were typically looked upon as large rubber bands that could be used to offer resistance for running. Eventually they began to be used as resistance to simulate machine based movements and flexibility. However, it wasn't until recently that bands began to be used as a functional metabolic and strength training tool. It is in this area that resistance bands have found their home and will continue to dominate. The resistance band's versatility and ability to create natural, functional forces in many planes at once is the key to its exercise success.

Resistance bands are constructed 2 ways – Molded or Layered. Molded bands are created by pouring liquid latex into a mold and letting it harden; these are traditionally the weaker bands. Layered bands are the way to go because they are more durable. BandIt Bands are Layered bands which are formed by bonding multiple layers of the band material together with a strong epoxy that is heated. This creates a much stronger bond. If a layered band gets a slight cut along the side of the band it will not tear easily because there are multiple layers holding it together, while if a molded band gets a slight cut it will tear completely along the "seam".

The other benefits of the BandIt Bands are that they are made with a new sealing process that is much stronger than any other flat resistance band out there, thus eliminating peeling from the layers. Also, the widths are designed for total comfort and unmatched by any other resistance band, like the flexband.

How can I work out when I travel?

The BandIt Body Workouts can travel with you. The BandIt Band is small, light and easily fits into a small bag or purse and the workouts do not require a lot of space.
